The shiy, golden Mandalay Bay Hotel, at the southern end of the Strip, has been presenting itself since its opening in 1999, with the theme of Southeast Asia.
In 2004 a second golden tower was opened, which is now run as a Delano hotel.
With over 40 floors, over 4,766 rooms and suites, this resort, part of the MGM Resorts family, is one of the largest hotels in the world!
The hotel convinces with a lot of style, a soothing, zen-like atmosphere, and as usual for Vegas, every conceivable kind of entertainment.
The large and beautiful pool area, which has a wave pool, real sandy beach, and a Lazy River, is one of the highlights of the hotel.
Moorea Beach Club, an adult area, in which even "topless" sunbathing is allowed was integrated separately. The Daylight Beach Club heats up with pool parties, with well-known DJs as main acts, for those whom the party does not stop after sunrise.
The spacious Spa area is one of the most popular in Las Vegas. It is also presented in Asian style, with trained therapists for massages, relaxation and beauty treatment at the highest level.
The 135,000 sq ft. casino area, looks more generous than most other casinos. This is mainly due to the high ceilings, and the concept of the hotel. Machines and gaming tables are installed here with greater distances to each other.
The sound backdrop in Mandalay Bay also seems slightly more subdued than in comparable hotels. But of course you will also find all slot machines and all table games played in Vegas. The mandatory High-Slot area, as well as a separate poker area, can also be found on the casino floor at Mandalay Bay Hotel.
But this heavenly resort ist not only suitable for a relaxing vacation. With 12,000 seats it offers one of the largest conference centers in the world. High-ranking national and international companies hold their conventions here.
Guests can look forward to further countless attractions such as the Shark Reef, an aquarium filled with 1.3 million gallons seawater, which takes visitors past tunnels and under shipwrecks, sharks and other sea creatures in the back of the hotel.
Show lovers will also get their money's worth. The Michael Jackson "One", by Cirque Du Soleil Show, as a tribute to the King of Pop, is shown on many dates of the week.
Through an indoor shopping mall, The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, where many stores and restaurants offer their goods, the hotel is connected to the Luxor Hotel. The Cable Liner Shuttle, a free tram, runs every 10 minutes and connects the hotels Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay for those who don't want to walk.
Located on the 34-39 floor of Mandalay Bay, the world's popular and highly ranked Four Seasons Hotel operates its own boutique hotel inside the hotel. Connected to Mandalay Bay and passing through a corridor at Cirque du Soleil Theatre, the Delano Hotel is located.
A private spa area, as well as an extravagant restaurant "Rivea" on the top floor, with the outdoor cocktail lounge, Skyfall can easily be reached by all guests of both resorts. Fine & casual restaurants, from all over the world, several bars, a food court and many options for a Quick-Bite, are of course also represented in both hotels of the resort.
A highlight of the culinary offer is the House of Blues, which brings with atmospheric music and a Sunday gospel brunch brings the southern states to Vegas.
The noble hotel has also been used as a venue for various TV productions.
In the TV Show "Las Vegas" Mandalay Bay functioned as the fictional "Montecito" hotel.
